Tim Meinholz has been teaching band for 31 years. He is currently the Director of Bands for Columbus High School in Columbus, WI. His main instrument is trumpet and has served on the WSMA State Honors Band staff for Trumpets and Horns. He is a Master Adjudicator for WSMA judging at district and state levels. He regularly judges for the WSMA State Honors projects auditions.


Many of Mr. Meinholz’s ensemble groups have earned superior ratings at District and State level festivals. His concert bands regularly receive top ratings for performance of advanced music.


He is the director of the Marching Cardinals of Columbus, a competitive marching band during the fall months in Wisconsin. Under his leadership the marching band has earned several top 3 finishes at the WSMA State Marching Band Championships, including first place in 2005 and 2006.


Mr. Meinholz’s jazz ensembles have also earned high honors at several clinics and festivals around the state of Wisconsin, as well. The ensemble hosts guest artists from all over the midwest.


This will be the 4th trip as staff for the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music. He is extremely excited to work with everyone to make this experience one that will last a lifetime.
