Aurora Krajnikconde is married to Adam who is a music therapist. They reside in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and are the proud parents of Malena (age 9) and Landon (age 6). Malena loves reading, playing piano, and gymnastics. Landon loves learning about history (especially the Presidents), drumming, and dancing.
Aurora graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music Education. She also won the WCDA Collegiate Conducting Competition in 2006. Before Aurora's current position at Eau Claire Memorial High School, she taught at Chippewa Falls High School and Middle Schools for four years and Osseo-Fairchild High School and Middle Schools for eight years. In 2018, Aurora began teaching at Eau Claire Memorial High School, her alma mater, where she currently loves giving back to the choral program that gave her so much as a high schooler. In 2019, she directed "Shrek the Musical" which was the first musical Memorial had done in several years. This spring, she looks forward to directing "The Drowsy Chaperone" at Memorial. Aurora also started Memorial’s a cappella group, Noteworthy, and they are excited to compete in the International Championship of High School A Cappella for the 3rd year in a row. Aurora has traveled extensively with her choirs to New York City, Chicago, San Antonio, Washington, D.C., and Minneapolis. Aurora is excited to be one of the choir directors for the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music tour of Europe!
Aurora has performed, music directed, and/or choreographed over 50 musicals with Chippewa Falls High School, Osseo-Fairchild High School, the Eau Claire Children’s Theater, and the Chippewa Valley Theater Guild. She has been nominated several times for the Jerry Awards for her music direction of high school musicals. Her favorite musicals are Wicked, Hadestown, Hamilton, and Les Miserables. If Aurora isn’t on stage during her free time, you can find her traveling, hanging with her family and friends, hiking, kayaking, or reading. Some of her favorite places to travel to are New York City, Chicago, London, Paris, the Black Hills (South Dakota), Boston, the Columbia River Gorge (Oregon), and anywhere near beautiful mountains, lakes, or oceans.
